Application Requirements and Procedures

All Applications for enrolment as an International Student at Kelston Boys High School, must be made on the International Student Application Form.
Applications must be signed by parents, Mother, Father (preferably both). A Guardian may sign only if that person has official status i.e. there are no parents.
Applications must include copies of the latest reports from the previous school with a transcript in English and guaranteed to be accurate.
There is no application fee.
An Invoice and Acceptance letter will be issued (if accepted).

Conditions of Acceptance

1. Consideration will be given to all Applications, and an ‘Offer of a Place’ issued on the following grounds:

(a) The student has provided evidence of a sound academic background.

(b) The students English Language is sufficient to cope with the demands of the course.

(d) There is capacity within the school to staff the courses

(e) There is capacity in the Homestay Company to provide appropriate accommodation.

(f) If a student wishes to transfer from another school or language school, consultation will be made with enquiries into the background of the student.

2. The ‘Offer of a Place’ is subject to acceptance and payment within three months of the date issued.

Immigration Requirements

Enrolments of International Students will be subject to the student holding a current, valid Student visa or permit, copies of these will be made at enrolment.

Any applicants without a current, valid student visa will be refused enrolment until they obtain one.

The School follows the requirements of section 40 (1) of the Immigration Act 1987

NZIS will be notified immediately if an International Student’s enrolment has been terminated.
